Welcome to the University of Applied Sciences Ludwigsburg
The University of Applied Sciences Ludwigsburg specializes in the education and training of fully qualified management staff in public administration. The university’s 1,500 students are taught by 73 professors and roughly 400 lecturers. The two faculties, Management and Law and Tax and Business Law, offer four Bachelor courses and two Masters degrees. All courses are characterized
by both low dropout levels and a high level of successful graduates.
Graduates emerge from the Bachelor programmes equipped with the necessary knowledge, skills and techniques for working in professional environments. The didactical concept not only encourages academic work but is also designed to give graduates a sense of responsibility in the context of a free democratic and social constitutional state.
A distinguishing characteristic of the courses is the mix of college work and practical experience in the form of internships in the offices of public administration at both a state and municipal level. Small tutorial groups ensure that the individual students receive excellent tuition. Applicants to the bachelor courses must have a valid higher education entrance qualification.
The University also offers a fulltime Masters course in European Administration Management. This course prepares graduates for a career in highranking public service positions.
Public administration employees seeking a management position can enroll in the part- time Masters course in Public Management with a special focus on leadership.
